...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Missouri...Illinois...

  Mississippi River at Saverton.

River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast
precipitation for the next 24 hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Rainfall heavier than forecast could cause river levels to rise even
higher than predicted. The National Weather Service will monitor
this developing situation and issue follow up statements as
conditions change.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY SATURDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Saverton.

* WHEN...Until early Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 15.5 feet, An access road to riverside raised homes
  on the riverward side of the Sny levee begins to flood near this
  level.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 15.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.0
    feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage this
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

  Mississippi River at Hannibal.

  Mississippi River at Louisiana.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL WEDNESDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Hannibal.

* WHEN...Until Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, The northern end of Southside Recreation
  #2 Park along Bear Creek begins flooding at this height. Gate
  wells are shut down to prevent the sewers from backing up.  Also
  at this level pumps are set to standby.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:15 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 17.5 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 10:15 AM CDT Thursday was 17.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.6
    feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
    flood stage early Tuesday morning.
  - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

  Moines Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

The next statement will be issued by Friday morning at 1045 AM CDT.

  - At 10:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 15.1 feet.
  - Recent activity...The river is nearing a crest.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to begin a broad crest of
    15.1 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
    early Saturday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
